Happy Tails

Rabbit Rescue Incorporated rescues over 500 animals each year.
The majority of the rabbits come to us after being dumped outside.  Unfortunately, rabbits are one of the most neglected and abandoned pets, and shelters become full very quickly.  Rabbit Rescue Inc. assists many shelters in finding these animals new homes.  Below are a few of our happy endings.

CINNABUN
Cinnabun was rescued from a neglectful owner, who's family lost interest in her.  Cinnabun now lives with the founder of Rabbit Rescue Inc. and is best friends with Marbles. She loves to explore, eat and be petted.

TWINKY
Twinky was picked up at the side of a road as a stray. She was so terrified, shelter staff were not able to touch her. She has been treated for chronic eye ulcers for the past year. She is now very comfortable around people and likes to sit on laps and be snuggled.

FELIX

Felix was found in a cage with no food or water in the middle of a field.  His fur was matted and the fur on his tail was burned off.  Felix has now found a new home and a love interest, Bunny, another neglected rabbit.  Felix is in the process of being bonded to Bunny.  He loves his pelllets and is happy binkying around and snuggling with his new owners.  He's on bunny cloud 9.

Miffy & Dolly

Miffy and Dolly (right) came to the Rescue seprately.  They were both bounced around to several different homes. Dolly developed health issues, and relies on Miffy.  They were finally adopted into their perfect forever home Dec/04 where they now live happily together.  Miffy loves doing the Bunny 500 and Dolly enjoys lots of snuggle time.

MARBLES
Marbles is the bunny who 'started it all'.  He is bonded to Cinnabun and Kate and loves to snuggle up beside them.  Loves to be petted, and lick peoples feet.

THISTLE
Thistle was brought to us after she was left outside of a shelter in the rain with 5 guinea pigs. Someone had cut her ears off. She was rushed to the vet and was also treated for an abscess on her neck. While her ears will never grow back, she is happy and healthy. She loves to binky.

Fawn was rescued by a volunteer who found her at the side of the road.
She is a wonderful little bunny with a huge personality. She was
adopted into a wonderful home where she now has a fuzzy bunny
boyfriend.

Twinkle

Twinkle was found at the side of the road.  She came in with a fractured distal humurous that needed immediate orthopedic surgery, as well as nerve damage in her paw.  An adult cat, she came in weighing only 4 pounds - one month later with a proper diet she was up to 7.5 pounds. While she continues on her road to recovery, her nerve damage is now healed, and she is able to walk on her once fractured leg.  She is a happy girl who loves to be petted and roll on her back for belly rubs.

FIVER
Fiver was picked up as a stray in Hamilton and came to us in severe respiratory distress.  He was treated for pneumnia and continues to be treated for on going respiratory concerns. He is a happy bunny, full of spirit and love who can binky up a storm!  He loves attention and will do anything for his favorite treats & dill.

MOOSE
Moose was originally picked up as a stray and brought to Rabbit Rescue when his time was up at the shelter he was at. With one look his new mom fell in love with him and it wasn't long until he won the love of his new girlfriend Nikki. He is now living the pampered life, free to run and play whenever he desires. He loves a good bunny dance followed by a flop in his bed. He always runs right up to your feet for a big greeting and then puts on a show of flopping those big ears around. He's grateful to have found a loving home with his soul mates (both human and bunny)!
