PENNY, a spayed Dwarf

Penny came into our care over a year ago as a stray.  She was brought back to the rescue when the family who had her lost interest in her. She is still just as sweet, litter trained and friendly. She is now looking for her forever home. Could you be it?!

Suzy, a female URGENT
 
Suzy was dumped at a shelter by her owners. She is ok being handled and picked up and enjoys being petted.  Her time at the shelter she is currently at has just about run out, and RR is seeking a foster or permanent home for her.  If anyone is able to help, please contact us ASAP. She will be spayed upon arrival in our care.

ARCTIC, a male Holland Lop URGENT
 
Arctic was surrendered to a shelter when his owners lost interest in him. He is currently running out of time at the shelter he is at.  If someone is able to foster home, RR will take him and and neuter him. A shy, but friendly little guy looking for love!  We will neuter him upon arrival in our care.

Holly is a female dwarf who does not mind being picked up and gently held. She was abandoned on the beach in Port Hope.  She is currently at a shelter, but her time there is running out.  If you are interestd in fostering or adopting her, please let us know ASAP.  She will be spayed prior to going to a foster or permanent home.

CATHERINE, a female bunny URGENT
 
Catherine was found outside of a shelter in a box with another bunny. Unfortunately the shelter did not realize the importance of keeping bonded pairs together, and adopted out the other bunny.  The shelter is not able to keep Catherine much longer, so we are looking for a temporary foster home, or permanet home for her.  If we are ablet o find a place for her to go, we will spay her prior to going to a foster/permanent home.

CLOVER, a Spayed Holland Lop, & ACORN, a Spayed Dwarf ADOPTED
 
This little spayed white/silver lop, and small dwaf (brown/white) were picked up as strays by a local shelter.  When they shelter became full and was no longer able to keep them, they came to RR.  They were spayed on Jan 26/05 and treated for worms.  They are young, under 6 months, and must be adopted together.  They like to snuggle and groom each other.  They are litter trained.

These 2 sweet little girls are aprox 1 year old and were surrendered to a local shelter.  The shelter is full and seeking a placement for them. Please contact us ASAP if you are interested in fostering or adopting them.

This little lop was picked up as a stray and came to us when his time ran out at the shelter he was at.  He was neutered Jan/05.  He is friendly and sweet and loves to flop on his back!

This little girl was picked up as a stray by a local shelter. She arrived in our care on Jan. 18th/05.  She as spayed Jan/05. She is litter trained and very friendly. Would likely bond well to another bunny.

This cute cinnamon lop was rescued when his time ran up at a local shelter. He was originally picked up as a stray. He aws neutered Jan/05.  He is litter trained and is super sweet, loves to be petted!

CHEWBIE, a neutered cinnamon dwarf
 
Chewbie, a little cinnamon bunny was neutered Jan 27/05.  He came to us with malocluded incisors that were growing through the roof of his mouth. They have since been trimed, and he will have them removed mid Feb.  He is a shy bunny and should be adopted to a family without young children as loud noises frighten him. He is well behavied and litter trained - a real sweetie!

BIGWIG, a neutered dwarf
 
Bigwig is a gentle, quiet, sweet little male who was neutered on Jan 27/05.  He came to us with horribly malocluded incisors, which are being removed mid Feb. He has a good appetite and is perfectly litter trained.  He likes to be petted and enjoys human companionship. Would do very well bonded to another bunny.

HONEY, a Spayed Holland Lop
 
Honey enjoys attention and is a very active, playful bunny. She is perfectly litter trained. She has had one of her eyes removed due to glaucoma but it doesn't bother her in the least. We had her spayed
January 2005 and also had her molars filed.

Sugar is a curious adult sugar glider looking for a permanent home.  She had been bounced around to several homes before making her way to RR.  Must be adopted out to be housed with another glider  (either neutered male, or another female) and housed in a large enclosure. Please contact us for more details.

AGATHA, spayed New Zeland
 
Agatha was rescued from a college where she was used in an animal care program.  The program was over and she had no where to go. She is healthy and outgoing. Loves to be petted and binky.  She was spayed Jan/05 and had a full health check up.  This sweet girl loves to explore, nothing is too high for her. Has excellent litter habits, likes to be pet and doesn`t mind being picked up and cuddled.

THUMPER, a Spayed Holland Lop
 
Thumper is a very sweet lop who was spayed by RR on Dec. 30/04.  She was orginally rescued by one of our super volunteers from a terrible situation where she was being housed outside and badly neglected.  We had her treated for a bad ear infection and filed her molars.  She is now ready for a permanent home!

Snowflake is a sweet New Zeland bunny that was rescued when her time was up.  She was being used in an animal care program for a college and had no where to go at the end of the course.  She is healthy and friendly, is excellent with her litterbox.  She loves to run and binky!  She was spayed Jan/05 & had a health check up at the same time.  She is very shy at first but once she lets you pet her she is your friend. Has a very good appetite, does the bunny 500 and lots of binkies.

New Zeland, Females (3)
 
Three female new zeland bunnies (aprox 6 months old), and who will be spayed early in Jan. were rescued from a college that was using them for an animal care program (ie blood collection, grooming, handling etc). They are all perfectly health and may be adopted out in pairs or singly.

FLUFFY, a neutered Mini Lop
 
Fluffy is a sweet gentle bunny that loves to be petted and tolerates
grooming extremely well.  He is returning to the rescue because his previous
owner is moving and unable to keep him at her new place.  He is also very
patient and mellow and has the art of lounging in every position perfected. 
He lives up to his name since he is very furry and is soooo soft.

ROSIE, a spayed Rex and SAM a Neutered dwarf
 
Rosie and same came to us Dec. 2004, after living in a shelter since January 2003. They came in as a bonded pair but the shelter separated them.  Once in our care, we were able to reunite these good friends and they could not be happier!  Rosie is overweight from too many pellets and lack of excersise, but now with proper care she should loose some weight.  They must be adopted together.

Noelle was rescued from a shelter when her time there ran up.  She was spayed the week of Dec. 20th 2004. She is extremely curious and playful.  Loves her hay and is litter tranied.  She also loves to play with toys.

This sweet bunny as surrendered to a shelter with her mate.  The shelter she was at euthanized her mate, and we rescued her just in time.  She would do very well bonded to another bunn, and needs some extra love right now. She is aprox 2 years old.

Patience was rescued by Rabbit Rescue when her time was up at a local shelter.  She was dirty when she came into the Rescue, but is doing much better now.  She is great with her litter box and quite friendly! She has a very nice temperment.

SCAMPER, Neutered Holland Lop - SCAMPER NEEDS YOUR HELP!!
 
Scamper is 2.5 years old and a real snuggler!  His owner surrendered him to RR with his best friend Blackie (below) as she was moving and could not take them with her. He is friendly, litter trained and will give bunny kisses. Scamper is bonded to Blackie below and they must be adopted together.
 
Scamper has undergone mutiple surgeries and medical diagnositc work (cultures, radiographs, histo etc) while in our care.  He's had abscesses removed from his jaw area, as well as part of his jaw removed. He continues to undergo further sugeries and treatment to make him well.  We are in desperate need of donations for Scamper so we can continue his on going care.  His vet bills over the last few months alone have been thousands of dollars and he still requires 2-4 more surgeries.  We are proud to be a no kill organization, and one of the only rescue orgs who will do whatever is necissary to save a life.  With further treatment, he will be able to get better and go on to have a normal, happy, pain free life! Please give generous to help this little bunny.

This cute girl is 3.5 years old and bonded to Scamper.  They must be adopted together.   Her owner was moving and was unable to take them with her so surrendered them to RR. She is litter trained and loves nothing more than a good pet!  She loves her friend Scamper and is a real sweetie!

PECAN & PADDY, fancy blue male rats
 
Born: April 20th/2004
These cuties were born on their way to a shelter. Their parents were seized by the SPCA as they were not looked after properly.  Paddy is very friendly and quite the flirt.  Pecan is a bit more shy, but warms up  when he sees his brother getting all the attention.  Both are used to being handled, and love time out of their cage to explore. These boys are the best of friends and must be adopted together.  They would probably do quite well bonded to other rats.

STORM, a netuered dwarf
 
This poor little guy was rescued by a group of volunteers after discovering that he had been living behind a Toronto subway station for almost 2 years.  Now in foster care, he is getting proper nutrition and lots of love and affection. He is still a bit shy around people, but he is very curious and will follow you around to see what you are doing.  His progess has been amazing, and litter box habits are perfect.

Bogart or Bogey to his friends (French for strong as a bow) is a handsome little boy who loves his wheel, to run in and to hang out.  He enjoys sunflower seeds and taking naps in his box.  When he is not getting his beauty sleep he is very active.

Pepi, male black and white abby guinea pig, 5months old
pepi got into a fight with another male guinea pig and was badly injured.  He's
wounds have healed and he is ready for a new home.
SPECIAL NOTE;  Pepi has an extremely senistive digestive system and does not
take well to changes in the diet very easily.

This friendly girl was rescued from a shelter when her time there was up. She is an extreemly sweet bunny.  She gets a bit nervous when she meets new people, but if you pick her up, she will snuggle her head right up under your chin. She is litter trained and would make a terrific bunny friend for anyone!

AUDREY, a spayed, New Zeland White
Audrey, English for 'Noble Strength', was abandoned in a box outside of a shelter March 28th 2004. Her time there is now up and they can no longer keep her.  She is super friendly and outgoing and is looking for a permanent home.  She would likely do very well bonded to another bunny.  She always wants to ply and throws her bunny toys around and plays with her little stuffed pig.  Are you looking for a bunny who constantly wants attention? Audrey likes nothing more than to be where you are. She loves to show off her binkies and jumps and likes to play with her toys.

Little Tiffany was brought to the Rescue 1.5 years ago after she was found in a box with 10 other rabbits. She was malnurished and loosing her fur. She quickly gained weight in her foster home.  She was adopted out and unfortunately has to be returned, as her ownes living situation is changing.  She is litter trained and super friendly, enjoying lots of pats and cuddles.  She is not at all destructive and would likely bond well to another bunny.

Cute little Pansy was picked up as a stray. After hanging out in a local shelter for quite some time, they could no longer keep her. She has beautiful blue eyes and is very friendly and litter trained. We have recently had her spayed and she is now looking for her forever home.

Rusty is a very sweet male rex bunny who was rescued when his time was up at the shelter he was at. He has some damage to his right ear, which does not appear to bother him.  He likes to explore, and eat his hay. He is litter trained.

Joe-Joe, a friendly chocolate/black mini rex was rescued from a shelter when his time was up.  He was waiting at the shelter for a long time until before we rescued him.  He is aprox one year now.  He loves to binky and to be petted by humans! His fur is sooofffftttttttt.

Xavier - This curious boys enjoys being petted and groomed.  This sweetie enjoys chewing his wood sticks and blocks, as well as tearing up newspapers.  He also enjoys his rattle and jingle ball, and will rearrange and dig into his blankie and towel.  He has a great appetite and is laid-back.  He loves to binky.

HARLEY, Neutered Rex
 
Harley is a sweet 3.5 year old rex.  He enjoys his time out of his cage and is litter trained. Sits well to have his nails trimmed and loves to be petted.  He is a curious bunny who likes to explore and especially loves going through tunnesl and tubes.  He has fun playing with newspaper and cardboard boxes. He enjoys toys that rattle and has been around dogs.  At his foster home, he is a free range bunny and does not get into trouble.   He lies on his foster moms chest and gives kisses so he can get his head petted.

Pompon is a neutered male that is litter trained. He came to us after being
rescued from an auction where he was going to be sold for snake food. Within
a very short period of time, he put on weight and became less timid. He is
now a healthy, happy bunny who would love to find his forever home. He loves
to eat and binky around. He takes a few days to settle in and trust new people but is then happy to be petted and get attention. He has been waiting a very long time for someone to inquire about giving him a home.

These 2 male rats were brought to us after the shelter they were in, in Montreal, could no longer keep them. Ivory is a PEW, and Ebony is a black berkshire.

These cuddly young rats were rescued from Montreal when their time was up at a shelter. They are friendly and social and must eitehr be adopted as a trio, or if separated while still young, one could be adopted out to bond to your existing rat, an the other 2 must be adopted as a pair.

JoJo is a very friendly and outgoing female hamster looking for a home. She came to us from a petstore who was unable to sell her because she is no longer a baby. She is aprox 6 months. Active and curious! Please consider giving this cutey a home!

EMMA, spayed Californian
 
Emma was found as a stray in someones backyard. She is cute and friendly and was rescued just before her time was up at the shelter she was at. She was spayed on Aug. 5th 2004. She has come alnog way in her foster home and enjoys a good head rub.  She is not destructive in the house & is very good with her litter habbits. She oves to rip up newpaper and play with it. When let out for play time, she can often be found relaxing in her favourite corner.  Emma would probably do well in a quiet environment. Emma is a quiet bunny with no bad habbits & a real sweetheart.  She is aprox 8 pounds.
Jan/05: update: Emma makes leaps and bounds in foster care - literaly! She has recently discovered the joy of binking and now cant seem to stop!! :)

Dr. Claw was surrendered to a shelter because his owners had 'too many'. He has an old injury on his front paw, and has no 'fingers' just a stump. The fur has grown in white there from growing in on scar tissue, but he gets around just fine.

Einstein was surrendered to a shelter because the owner had 'too many' He is one year old. He escaped his cage at the shelter he was at and wound up in a mouse trap - but had no injuries. That is why they named him Einstein.

Opheila was surrendered to a shelter because her owner had 'too many'. She came in with newborn babies.  They are all dark brown/black and are very cute!

Bella is a sweet bunn who needs someone very special to be her forever home.  She was dropped at a shelter by her owners and was going to be euthenized before being saved by RR.  She has had a hard time trusting people but is really coming around in her foster home.  She enjoys a gently pet and her ears stroked.  She enjoys a good run around and will be houdindi to try and explore other places.  She has a great appetite and is perfect with her litter habits. She is a larger rabbit who will need lots of room to stretch her legs.  Will you be that special person to give this bunn a home and love forever.

Sunshine was brought to a local shelter in Feb 2004 due to 'allergies'.  At that time she was 2 yrs old.  She has been doing pet therapy for the past 4 months.  She is now looking for a loving home. She needs a home where she can relax and enjoy her life.  The stress of being a therapy bunn has put a toll on her and she is now nervous around people, but with all the love she is getting that should change soon.  Sunshine will be spayed shortly.

Sugar is a 3 month old dwarf hamster that was surrendered to a shelter when her owners no longer wanted her and because she was a bit 'nippy'. She is now getting lots of TLC in her foster home and doing great. She is now looking for a permanent home where she will get lots of love and attention.

We currently have five young female rats that are looking for homes.  They are 'blue' rats and the result of an accidental litter ina shelter before coming to us.  They are all very friendly and social.  They should be adopted in pairs, or singly if they are to be bonded to a rat(s) that you already have. All are female.

the shelter they were at could not longer keep them. They are friendly,

Bella was picked up as a stray in Milton. She was quite shy when she first came to the Rescue but quickly warmed up to people. She is a larger bunny, with lots of love to give. She is litter trained and friendly.

bit shy at first until she gets to know you, but with some extra attention
and TLC she is becoming more and more trusting of new people. She is litter

This sweet female bunny was rescued from a shelter when they could no longer
keep her. She was spayed on March 2nd. She is litter trained.  When she first arrived at her foster home, she was a bit shy..but she has settled in nicely and is now ready for her forever home.

Tweety was neutered on March 2nd. He was rescued from a shelter when they
could no longer keep him. He is an adorable black/white bunny who likes to
cuddle with his favourite stuffed toy. In this photo he is curled up with
his stuffed cow on a shelf in his cage. He likes to play with toys and toss
things around. Has a lot of personality.

MILO & MIMI spayed females
 
Milo (grey) and Mimi (black) were brought to us last year after they were left in a cardboard box outside of a pet supply store.  They were adopted out, and sadly came back to us when their owners were unable to keep them any longer. They are both litter trained and very friendly.  They will jump into your lap for a quick visit, and climb all over you.  They are best friends and must be adopted together.
They have been waiting a very long time for a home.

These beautiful bunnies came to us when the shelter they were at was no
longer able to keep them. They have both been recently spayed and are litter
trained. Friendly and curious, they love to explore. Must be adopted

This little guy was picked up as a stray.  He is VERY friendly and has lots of energy to run around. He loves to explore new places and likes his veggies. He is litter trained and looking for a great new home. He is neutered & gives bunny kisses.  He would make a great friend for anyone.

These two girls were dumped off by their owners at a local shelter. They are
both quite young, but are bonded and must be adopted together. They are
small, at approx 3 pounds each. They like to flop over on their backs to
sleep and love their veggies. In their foster home, they have become much
more social and are ready for a permanent home.

THUMPER
Thumper is approx 11 months old. She is a friendly female bunny who is
litter trained. She spent the previous part of her life in a garage, not
able to come out of her cage for exercise.
 
MUNCHKIN
 
Munchkin is an 11 month old friendly female who likes to play. She too,
spent the previous part of her life confined to a small cage in a garage.
She is looking for a home where she will get lots of exercise
